I sold my FFXI account and bought a new iPod, mine was fucked. (Nope, not kidding)

So I will have no reason to post in this LJ anymore, as it's totally unrelated to anything I will do anymore!

If any of you understand this next part, I will be impressed...

I've become interested in developing using Ruby on Rails, opened a TxD account and am moving everything on to my new server which can support it. I hope to develop some web applications using AJAX style ownage very soon... working hard on mastering!

Soon I will be opening a new site over at http://www.phireweb.com/ - hope some of you drop in to take a look from time to time :)

Well, hard to know what to do at the moment!

I had a pretty promising interview on Tuesday, they are gonna be doing call-backs sometime towards the end of the week for second interviews - so fingers crossed on that matter. Hopefully I will get this one :)

This bought me to another decision, seems pointless to waste an entire evening LFP on SAM if my play time is going to be limited after I get a job, so I decided to use my free time before I get a job to level some key subjobs, namely at the moment WHM. WHM can be sub for BRD or BST, one gets parties easily, the other doesn't need them... so should put me in good stead for whatever I decide to do after I get a job. Can always level SAM at weekends when I have a bit more time anyways.

Been fishing and buying for my Lu Shangs, it's currently at 7070 / 10,000 - my fishing is only level 11 though, so apparently the rod won't be totally nessesary for a long time, but I don't mind, I want it! Useful item to have either way. Lots of money tied up in fish though, so wanna get the quest complete so I can have a tangible object which I can use or whatever, not have 7070 fish counted up by an NPC >.>

Anyways....

Bored LFP trying to get my BLM to 18 to sub for my WHM sub.... blahhhh.

Ok!

Marmalade the Samurai is now level 43 - and kicking ass. I really love SAM, I think it's my favourite melee job out of them all so far, gonna stick with it til I need a break, and then level some subjobs I guess, BLM to 17 for Warp (after levelling another mules fame for that quest...) - WHM to 36/7 for my basic teleports, and sub for BST. I think I am leaning towards paying Amadeo a million gil (seriously) to level my NIN to 37... I can't stand dying again, and its a very useful sub, will allow me to level NIN again once SAM is complete.

Marmalade has also taken up fishing, I am really keen to make some money from fishing up the fish and turning them into black ink, gil for me! I enjoy fishing, its nice and peaceful - and I can do it while I am LFP. My Lu Shangs count is at 215 / 10,000 - lol. Congratulations to kirsteena on getting her Lu Shangs yesterday!!!! Got to level 3 fishing yesterday (from 0) - which is good going for one day!

Sethe is selling off unused gear, he is basically going to just have his rare/ex stuff and all BLM gear required to operate, when Marmalade gets to 75, if money is tight for anything left to add to my "pimp gear" set, then I will consider just selling everything he owns. We normally have enough BLM to operate...

Anyways, in other news.

I am currently at Zoe's house, having fun being with her again, hate being away, but its the way it has to be for now!

I have a meeting about a job on Tuesday next week at 11.30, would be such a good job to get, really close to home - so could travel there every day in about 25 mins I guess, would be ideal. Fingers crossed for that one, hopefully I can wow them at the meeting, they won't have had any other applicants with a BSc in Web Development, so I have the upper hand already.

She has been working away at being a master Thief! Got my first two pieces of AF, just need one more piece that's of any use... after that the other 2 pieces are junk, will probably get them eventually for completeness!

So in between levelling I did a bit of skilling up - figured I will try and make the push towards Lv.100.... pretty long road, but coming to the end now, at last!

On with Sethe... we have been doing Dynamis with Konoha, getting pretty good all round now, so it's nice to think we will be clearing all the cities soon enough and hopefully heading up to the Northlands! I got these pretty new shoes this weekend:



Not the best piece of AF2 for my BLM, but better than what I was using and will have its uses over Rostrum perhaps... will probably stick with Rostrum pumps when I get them though, still want to get the complete set of BLM AF2, so may as well start somewhere!

Konoha had our first gods run in a while last night, and it bloody rocked, we did all four of the small gods, including our first ever Byakko - which was a massive milestone. Gratz to all who got drops, especially the gimp Taru Kutu on his Zenith Mitts at last.

When Zoe was at my house before I came back to Uni she was levelling PUP for me, her and Tournefoux were having a lot of fun running about killing bees and bunnies...

PUP is currently level 20 and will probably stay like that for a while until I get Marmalade to 75, and get WHM and BLM to 75 on Sethe ;P

Ok, not really all that much to report, but figured I should write a general update anyways.

Firstly, Marmalade has made a return! I fancied levelling a melee job, namely THF, the linkshell is in desperate desperate need of THFs (as was seen in Dynamis last night, but more about that later...) - I figured I would level THF on Marmalade as Sethe is pretty much geared and meritted towards mage jobs, so there is a little point doing on him!

She is currently level 41 THF, and got her artifact dagger, so that's a start! Need to level ninja sub now though.... effort! Oh well.

Sethe hasn't been doing much level wise, however I have been playing with the expansion stuff a lot - got a rather nice earring from Assault yesterday, and pleanty more items to work towards from there as well.

Linkshell, well - been a slow few weeks to be honest, we have been missing tanks and key members, so quite hard to get anything done. Did Dynamis - San d'Oria last night, and got a measly one piece of AF2, we are in desperate need of TH2 and some sac pullers so we can start going for the clears in this zones and move on. All in good time I suppose!

Ok, so Deo's EU copy of ToAU arrived, and he gave me the serial so I could register it on my account... so I did.

Spent the rest of the day trying to download/steal/leech the CD so I could install the fucking thing. Currently have 1 hr 44 minutes left on the transfer from Theoa of the last file required to run the install. Fun.

Might work, might not, my copy of the game might drop through the door tomorrow - but I didn't have anything else planned for today, so y'know.

In other news...

We did our first attempt at Limbus the other day as a tester to see how we could do it in our small group - it was a good learning experience, and hopefully I get to go as BLM next time too! We almost cleared the first floor, ran out of time at the first boss which sucked.. Here is a screenshot of our only loot crate of the day...



Not too good really - but what the heck, next time we will own that floor and try out the next - see how we can do up there! Can't wait.

BLM level 73... I look hot in my weskit and gloves, and blow the crap outta stuff! All is well!
